Privacy policy — Berlin Cup International 2026

About this translation

This English text is a translation provided for ease of understanding. The German version of this privacy policy is the authoritative one. Names of authorities, legal provisions and the address of the club are given in German.

1. Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Wir aktiv. Boxsport & mehr
Isigym Boxsport Berlin e. V.
Potsdamer Straße 152
10783 Berlin
Germany

Represented by the board: Izzet Mafratoglu (chairman) and Ramiz Koyuncu (deputy chairman).
Telephone: +49 174 3939206
E-mail: [EMAIL ADDRESS — to be added]

The club has not appointed a data protection officer, as the legal requirements for doing so are not met. If you have questions about data protection, please write to the address above. Further details about the club are given in the legal notice.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in a data centre in Helsinki, Finland, and therefore inside the European Union.

We use this hosting provider on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, stable and efficient provision of this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

3. Server log files

When you access this website, the web server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser (so-called server log files):

the page or file requested
the date and time of access
the volume of data transferred and a message confirming successful retrieval
the browser type and version used
the operating system used
the referrer URL (the page visited previously)
the IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify individuals. The logs are deleted or overwritten as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes; they are kept longer only if they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically faultless operation and the security of this website.

4. Cookies

This website sets exactly two cookies. Both are strictly necessary and both are inaccessible to scripts (HttpOnly):

a session cookie of the Joomla content management system with a randomly generated name. It keeps your session together and expires at the latest when you close your browser.
a language cookie with a randomly generated name and a value such as “de-DE”. As this website is published in four languages, it remembers the language you have chosen. Its lifetime is one year.

No cookies for analytics, statistics or advertising are set. No user profiles are created and there is no recognition across other websites.

The legal basis for storage is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: both cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the website. As we do not use any cookies that require consent, this website also does not need a cookie consent banner.

5. Forms

At present no form is published on this website. No form data is therefore processed through this website.

An entry form for participating clubs and a general contact form are planned. As soon as a form is published, the following will apply: we process the data you enter solely in order to handle your entry or your enquiry. Mandatory fields are marked as such.

The legal basis will then be Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the matter concerns the initiation or performance of participation in the tournament, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (a) and (f) GDPR (your consent and our legitimate interest in dealing with enquiries). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. The data is deleted as soon as the matter has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

This section will be extended to list the fields actually requested when the first form goes live.

6. Spam protection with ALTCHA

As soon as a form is published on this website, we will protect it against automated submissions with ALTCHA. ALTCHA gives your browser a small computing task (proof of work) that is solved in the background — you do not have to solve any picture puzzle.

ALTCHA runs entirely on our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties, no cookies are set and no user tracking takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in protection against spam and misuse.

As long as no form is published, ALTCHA is not in use on this website.

7. Contact by e-mail or telephone

If you contact the club by e-mail or by telephone, we process your details solely in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries aimed at participation in the tournament or a comparable agreement, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as the matter has been settled and no retention obligations apply.

Please note that the content of unencrypted e-mail can be read in transit. For confidential information, please use the post or the telephone.

8. No web analytics, no tracking

No reach measurement and no analysis of your usage behaviour takes place on this website. We use neither Google Analytics nor Matomo nor any comparable analytics, advertising or tracking service. No usage profiles are created, no cross-site tracking takes place and no automated decision-making occurs.

Should we introduce anonymous reach measurement in future, we will amend this privacy policy accordingly beforehand.

9. No social media plugins

No social media plugins are embedded in this website. References to profiles on social networks are plain links: only when you click such a link is a connection to the respective provider established and only then does that provider receive data about your visit. The respective provider is responsible for the processing on those platforms.

10. Fonts and external content

This website loads content exclusively from its own domain. The Oswald typeface used is delivered locally from our own server; no connection to Google Fonts or to any other third-party server is established.

Likewise, no map services, no video platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo, no content delivery networks and no other third-party content are embedded. When you simply visit this website, your IP address is therefore not transmitted to anyone other than our hosting provider.

11. SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL / TLS encryption with a certificate from Let's Encrypt. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar beginning with “https://” and by the padlock symbol. As long as the encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

12. Recipients and transfers to third countries

We pass on your data only where this is necessary to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations. At present the only recipient is our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH as a processor (see section 2).

E-mail dispatch from this website is not set up at present. As soon as a form is published and form messages are delivered by e-mail, we will add the e-mail service provider here as a further recipient.

No transfer to countries outside the European Union takes place.

13. Your rights as a data subject

You have the following rights against us with regard to personal data concerning you:

access to the data we process (Art. 15 GDPR)
rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
data portability in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR)
objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

An informal message to the controller named in section 1 is sufficient to exercise these rights.

14. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority for us is the one at the seat of the club:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit
(Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Alt-Moabit 59-61
10555 Berlin
Internet: www.datenschutz-berlin.de

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We will adapt this privacy policy as soon as changes to this website or to the legal situation make it necessary — in particular as soon as the entry form and the contact form go live. The version published here applies in each case.
